Phoenix Theatre Company are proud to have been awarded the following in the Daily Echo 'Curtain Call Awards' for our production of Sugar in the year 2002

	Best Actor in a Musical - jointly awarded to Wayne Ings as Jerry/Daphne and Ian Steele as Joe/Josephine. The judges said "Acting, singing and dancing - even in stilettos - they were faultlessly funny".
Best Choreographer - Gilly Jeffery . The judges said , "animated ensemble and clever choreography by Gilly Jeffery creates slick dance sequences."

In addition, we received the following nominations for Sugar

• Best Actress in a Musical - Jane Mackinnon as Sugar Kane
• Best Director of a Musical - Angela Arney
• Best Musical Director - Ian Peters
• Production of the Year
